This shouldn’t really be a personal hazard unless you’re up to something no good in Russia!
Once in a while St. Petersburg is shaken by an assassination - the victim is usually a successful (consequently a not-so successful) businessman, politician or some other strategically based person.
However, there is no need to worry about such events as authorities assure the general public that "the killers are professional and rarely wound anyone but the intended."
We guess there's nothing to be concerned about then!
