Domestic Airport - Pulkovo 1

St. Petersburg has two airports; Pulkovo 1 serves domestic and CIS countries while Pulkovo 2 (airport code 'LED', after its former name, Leningrad) deals with the international flights. They are 19km (11.8 miles) and 17km (10.5 miles) south of the city centre, respectively.

The airport is equipped with several telescopic passenger walkways connecting planes to the terminal but on some occasions whether arriving or departing you may be taken to/from the terminal by bus.
